Long Day

On Wednesday, Elaine had a very good morning and was in good spirits when she left for her early afternoon appointment to have the CT and PET scans done. Time consuming tests for anyone, it took nearly 3 1/2 hours to complete the tests as the staff had to be very careful moving Elaine on and off of the machines. Elaine handled this like a trooper and returned to Homewood in time for dinner, still in a good mood but very tired.

The results of these scans will be known next Wednesday when Elaine visits with the Oncologist.

hi elaine, I am a dear friend to your mom and dad.
I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and you are in my prayers.
Your mom and I always have such a good time together. You will have to ask her about our Post Office trip on a day it was closed for some unheard of holiday. We laughed so much I thought surely I might wet my pants right there in the Frederick Post Office.
stay strong
hugs,
Eileen

Hey girl – sure hope you had a restful day today. You are always in my thoughts.

Well tonight (Thursday 8/28) the Ravens are about to begin their fourth pre-season game, and Joe Flacco is starting again. Boller’s shoulder is still hurting him and Smith is still weak from his viral infection. Good grief! Who knows – maybe Flacco will surprise us all and have a really cool game tonight. There is speculation/talk that the Ravens may have to get another quarterback, probably one who gets released before Saturday’s deadline for final roster selection. Looks like it can get pretty bad…. And some of the former starters (including Heap) are still recuperating. Elaine – the Ravens definitely need you to cheer them on – so let’s hear ya!

I really enjoyed my visit with you on Tuesday; we had some good laughs at lunch talking to your tablemates. We just ran out of time to go outside and enjoy that glorious day. I hope you get to keep the beauty shop appointment on Friday; the stylists seemed really nice.

Can’t wait to see you next Tuesday.

Love,
JoAnn

Hi Elaine. Mark and I went to the Ravens game last night, Stan was nice enough to give me tickets. Being there definitely made me think of you, I know how much you love the Ravens. We are always thinking of you here at Techalloy though. I hope this finds you in good spirits and comfortable there in Frederick.

Hi Laney,
This is your bud Juan down in Houston. I don't know if you know or not but I am no longer with Techalloy. That however does not mean I will lose touch with the people I have enjoyed working with over the years.

I am so happy that this blog site has been set up. Now I have a way to keep in touch with you.

You know I would tell you to keep up that fighting spirit of yours but there are some things that are just understood and you having spirit is exactly that.

My friend know that you are always in my thoughts and I will be dropping in a note hear and there to tell you how hot Texas is. Any who I will cut this off now and say GO RAVENS!! No I haven't lost my mind I just made the mistake of drafting Willis M. in my fantasy league. LOL!!!

Take Care,
Juan

Hi Elaine,

Hope you got your hair done today and it looks good.
I guess everyone was thinking about you as they were watching the football game. I know I was.
Glad to see all the nice comments from your co-workers. You are loved by a lot of people.
Every night when I go to bed I say a little prayer that you have a comfortable night. I hope it works.

Hello again to my childhood friend, Elaine. Blizz and I were glad we got to visit with you a couple of weeks ago. And Sunday, it was really good to see you and your family. Sure hope that you are getting as comfortable as you can at Homewood. If it's the same Dr. Kline that I knew at Frederick, he was one of the best. Take care. I,too, like keeping up to date with what's going on in your life. Know that you're in all the Fitzgerald prayers. That's it from Chincoteague Island for now.

Hey Woman
Sponge Bob and I both enjoy talking to you on the phone yesterday. We went to the Ravens game on Thursday but we didn't bring them any luck with winning. It's a good thing that is was a pre-season game. Our seats were right on the 30 yard line and 9 rows from the field. Thinking of you and knowing how you would enjoy being at the game. We are leaving tomorrow for our yearly trip to the Outer Banks for some sun, fun and happy hour every hour.
Take care and enjoy playing bingo and singing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers everday.
Love
Woman and Sponge Bob
